Intermediate Yoga/ Beginning Yoga classes

These classes are taught within the framework of an eight-week series so that each class can build upon the next.  There is a specific focus to each series so that students can gain a holistic knowledge of yoga.   The classes are well-rounded including movements to warm-up the joints and bring inner focus to standing postures, seated postures and restorative postures to balance and integrate mind, body and spirit.

Intermediate students have had past experience with yoga and are currently attending classes.
Beginning students are either new to yoga, have been away from yoga for a while or want to move gently and with deliberation.

Therapeutic Yoga Workshops

Therapeutic yoga utilizes restorative yoga, gentle yoga, deep breathing, guided visualization and hands on energy work.  This workshop will consist of a series of poses that are supported through the use of bolsters, blankets and other props.  The body can be held in each pose without having to exert any effort.  This creates a deeply healing and meditative experience.  It opens the body’s energy channels to stimulate, soothe and relive the effects of chronic stress. The experience is both therapeutic and relaxing for the body, mind and soul.

Therapeutic Yoga Sessions

Each therapeutic yoga session is designed according to the needs of each person.  After a thorough assessment, the session will draw upon restorative yoga, gentle yoga, deep breathing, guided visualization and hands on healing work to cultivate equanimity and balance so that the body’s natural healing properties can emerge.  Each session is approximately one hour.
